What can I expect if I choose to have a Kel-Leigh Couture gown made?
By having a Kel-Leigh Couture wedding gown designed and created it is guaranteed that all your wedding guests will be saying how beautiful you look in your dress all night. Your Kel-Leigh Couture gown will be created to fit you perfectly and helping you to make it the best day in your life.

What happens if I want Kel-Leigh Couture to design my dress?
Your first appointment is a no obligation free consultation where we sit down and discuss what type of dress you had in mind. After you are happy with the design, I then begin work on the dress. You will then be required to attend a number of fittings where you will see your dress take shape into something you have dreamed about.

Can I bring my own ideas and designs?
Absolutely. This is your day and you should have what you want. However I will tell you if a particular design or style doesn't suit you and can offer alternative ideas that you may not have thought of.

What if I don't know what style or colour I want?
As an experienced couturier I have dealt with many brides in this problem. During our consultation I will suggest designs and styles based on your style and body shape. I also have sample gowns to try on to give you an idea of what style and colour works well with your body. Usually by the end of the consultation the bride to be is extremely excited because she has found her dream wedding dress.

How long does it take to create a Kel-Leigh Couture bridal gown?
12 months from the wedding is great
6 months from the wedding is good
Under 6 months from the wedding is able to be done but will depend on the type
of wedding gown you choose and the amount of work that is involved

How many fittings does a Kel-Leigh Couture gown require?
Usually around 4 to 6 fittings

Can I bring my own fabric?
As a couture gown is dependant on the quality of the fabric, Kel-Leigh Couture only uses these highest quality fabrics to give you the ultimate look. We do not use fabric that clients bring as we cannot guarantee their quality.

How much does a Kel-Leigh Couture gown cost?
The most common question asked by brides calling to make an appointment. The cost of the gown depends on the style, fabric and embellishments used on the gown. Kel-Leigh Couture bridal gowns start at $2,000. The average price most brides are spending on a Kel-Leigh Couture gown is $3,000. The finished price includes all fabrics, laces, embellishments and a gown that looks wonderful and fits perfectly.

How much deposit do I need to secure a booking?
40% deposit on all couture gowns is preferred

What if I lose weight between fittings?
Advise us during your fittings that you are trying to lose weight. We can make adjustments and allowances to your gown while creating it.

What if a Kel-Leigh Couture gown is out of my budget?

Can I have my bridesmaids dresses made by Kel-Leigh Couture?
We will make bridesmaids dresses if the bride is purchasing a Kel-Leigh Couture Gown.

What if my bridesmaids live far away?
This is a common occurrence and is managed by priority fittings when she is visiting. I can start work on her dress by getting her to send me her measurements. When she arrives it is usually takes only two to three fittings to completion.

Does Kel-Leigh Couture design mother of the bride / groom?
We sure do. It is my pleasure to make mum look and feel great on their daughters or sons special day. Like the way I design other dresses, mum is given a consultation and fittings before taking her dress home.

Does Kel-Leigh Couture offer accessories to compliment my gown?
Absolutely

Can I have a Kel-Leigh Couture gown made if I am having a destination wedding?
A lot of our brides are off to tropical destinations to get married. When you pick up your gown we will show you to pack it when travelling and how to press it when you get there.

How do I store my wedding dress when I receive it?
All Kel-Leigh Couture gowns come in a zippered dress bag. If you are storing for a long time keep the bag partly unzipped to allow the dress to breathe. Keep the gown away from heat, sunlight and kitchen odours.

What are sample gowns?
Kel-Leigh Couture is continually creating gowns for display, photo shoots and fashion shows. They have never been worn at a wedding and offer the bride a fabulous Kel-Leigh Couture gown at a discounted cost. The most common sizes for sample gowns are 10 - 12.
